Songwriter, vocalist and visionary Sunny Vizion crafts soulful, electrifying R&B music that offers an unobstructed view into his vivid imagination and expresses the struggles and triumphs that have marked his evolution as an artist and as a man. His thoughtful songs set the heart and mind on fire, mingling elements of hip-hop, R&B, soul and pop and featuring memorable melodies, orchestral harmonies, layers of beats and lyrics about love, loss, hope and transformation. Sunny’s charismatic, intimate performances and intricate recordings are overflowing with powerful moments and his unbreakable determination, rooted in his personal philosophy: “BeVizionary.”
His latest project is an EP co-written by Grammy-nominated singer and songwriter Corey Latif Williams (Trey Songz, The Roots, Chris Brown). Becoming a Man is a collection of heartfelt, introspective tracks present Sunny’s perspectives on rising up from life’s challenges and offer inspiration to everyone who wants to live out dreams.
Sunny Vizion’s spark for music was ignited in his teens as he explored his local DJ scene. Instilled with an unwavering work ethic, he experimented with music production and songwriting, turning out mixtapes that he sold on the street, in stores and at clubs while developing his skills as a rapper and performer. Before he was even 18, mega artists like Bobby Valentino, David Banner, Ray J and Lil Jon had taken notice of his talent and were hosting his tapes.
He was eager to dive deeper into the world of music, and thus he founded his own booking agency, Smash Camp Entertainment at 16. He started putting together shows and tours in Germany, then moved to organizing tours throughout the rest of Europe as well as Asia, Australia and the Arab Emirates. Despite Sunny’s quick success in the music business, his mother requested that he continue his education, and he juggled foreign commerce/business studies with running his entertainment company.
Sunny’s start was interrupted further when his father suffered a brain hemorrhage after an accident. The young son was called home to nurse him for several years alongside his mother and sister, until his death just before Sunny’s 20th birthday. Drawing energy from his inner strength and his solid spirituality, he finished his studies and decided, once again to dedicate himself fully to his deepest passion: music.
Wise beyond his years, Sunny Vizion has already worked alongside many groundbreaking artists in hip-hop, R&B and pop, managing tours worldwide for Tyga, Lloyd, Bow Wow, Flo Rida and many others. Now fully committed to developing his career as a solo singer/songwriter, he continues to learn from other cultures and people in order to expand his mind, enrich his music and grow, both spiritually and creatively. Devoted to giving back to his local community, he acts as a mentor to young people, telling his own story in order to convey the message that working hard and believing in dreams can lead to success. As Sunny says, “You can come from nothing. You just need a vision.”
